Engineer’s Office

The Scioto County Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, repair, widening, resurfacing and construction of roadways on the county highway system, and bridges spanning 10’ or more on both the county and township highway systems.

Typical maintenance duties include ditching, bermwork, sealing, patching, tree trimming, mowing, snow and ice removal, and other related activities. The County Engineer also serves as an engineering advisor to the Township Trustees for the maintenance, widening and repair of township roads.
